Calling all MFC ladies aged 18+!
Our goal for the Sisters’ Circle is Insha'Allah to build bonds between us, sisters in the MFC community, irrespective of our backgrounds, age, or familial status; a program where we can come together on a regular basis to address topics and issues relevant to us as women in this society.
This is a space for ALL women 18+ to relax, enjoy good company, and share our lived experiences as Muslim women. Whether you’re looking for knowledge, friendship, or introspection, we’ve got you covered. We guarantee you will not leave without connecting with other sisters.
Dear moms - please leave the kids home so we can focus on our individual relationship with Allah. The focus of the sessions are for adults and not necessarily appropriate for those younger than 18 years. The presence of young children or youth during these sessions may also cause sisters to hesitate to fully express themselves or engage in the discussions. Jazakhallah khair for your understanding.

Who: Women 18+
When: Sundays, June 11 and 25th with Dr. Zeyneb Sayilgan. If you will miss the sessions, tune into her podcast series, “Islam, Death and Child Loss: A Muslim Mother’s Journey Through Grief,” Zeyneb Sayilgan offers a series of theological reflections on Islam and the Qur’an in the wake of the loss of her daughter, Meryem.
Time: 10AM- 12PM (Lecture ends at 11:30 and refreshments served from 11:30-12:00)
Where: MFC Musallah: 5796 Waterloo Rd. Columbia, MD
Parking: Parking at the Musallah is limited, please carpool or arrange for drop off if possible. Insha'Allah someone will be directing traffic, but please note the one way traffic flow map of Musallah.
If Musallah parking is full, "overflow" parking at the neighboring nursing home or Truist Bank can be used (see Map). Please keep this in mind and plan to arrive a few minutes early to park (and walk if necessary) so that we may start promptly at 10 am with everyone in attendance.
